When it hits 70 degrees on the eastern coast of North Carolina in January, don’t walk – RUN to Wrightsville Beach and soak up the sun — it’s the perfect time for a winter beach session. I had been wanting to bring our new pup, Bodhi to the beach again and so glad we did! He absolutely loves the to dig in the sand and run around like crazy. So, naturally I brought my camera and put together a couple styled outfits for my girls. When we arrived it was about 2 hours before sunset and there was this beautiful haze that was diffusing the sun a bit. We played around in the sand, found some beautiful shells and a feather. I didn’t realize it then, but that feather was my inspiration for the entire gallery. My daughter held onto it for most of the time and it ended up being the theme of our winter beach session. I absolutely love when you give space for your children to explore and find the beauty in their surroundings. Check out more winter beach sessions in this post on instagram.
